In the beginning of this year, the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing has already scheduled important activities. In February, Raquel Rolnik will participate in a conference on Access to housing for Roma communities in Prague, Czech Republic. In March, she will present her thematic report on Post Disaster/Post Conflict Reconstruction and right to housing at the Human Rights Council, in Geneve, together with the country mission reports of Kazakhstan and Croatia; then, in April, she will conduct her first country mission of 2011, in Argentina. And the year is just beginning!

* Conference in Prague
In February 2-4th , Raquel Rolnik will participate in the international conference “Improving Access to Housing for Roma: Good Local Practices, Funding and Legislation”. Read more.

* Visit to Argentina
The first mission of the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing in 2011 will be in Argentina. The date, 13-22 April, has already been confirmed. As you know, suggestions and contributions are always welcome!

* Contribute with the Special Rapporteur Work
At the end of the last year, the Urban Poor Associates, a NGO from Philippines, sent us some information which allowed us to revise our guide on development based evictions and our website. Your organization can help us to spread the right to housing in the world too. Read more.
