   I was told by both Housing and Land Rights Coalition in Cairo and Habitat International Coalition in Santiago that they would send an URGENT CALL TO ACTION to President Obama and Hawaii’s new Governor Neil Abercrombie, but I have seen no Urgent Call to Action sent yet.

   I was told by both Housing and Land Rights Coalition in Cairo and Habitat International Coalition in Santiago that they would send an URGENT CALL TO ACTION to President Obama and Hawaii’s new Governor Neil Abercrombie, but I have seen no Urgent Call to Action sent yet.
   Several months ago National Public Radio aired a story claiming that Hawaii had 63,000 homeless people, but then they put a much lower figure on their website on line (14,000), impugning my credibility. When I called their political reporter, Wayne Yoshioka about this discrepancy, he said that the number on line was “partial”. Because Hawaii has such mild winter weather, we do have a disproportionately high number of homeless people sent here from the mainland to escape the harsh cold winters there. Hawaii has been listed in the media as one of the “meanest” cities to the homeless.
   We surely do need help. I just had a long letter published in June 15th, 2011’s issue of Honolulu Weekly about all the American laws that are being broken by the state of Hawaii and the USA at large, but it has not elicited any honor from my government yet. I also desperately need help financing the repair of the car in which I live, and replacement of my broken cell phone, as I have a life-threatening medical condition and cannot call an ambulance if another crisis manifests.
