The virtual platform of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing is already running. This new tool will be used initially for developing the project “Women and the Right to Land and Housing.” People worldwide can now register and contribute to the thematic report and the guide and leaflet which will be produced on the subject. See also news and pictures of the working visit of the Rapporteur Raquel Rolnik to Haiti earlier this month and her agenda to the next period.

* Women and Housing Rights
With the virtual platform, it is easy now to collaborate with the Special Rapporteur. If you are interested in the topic “Women and Housing Rights” and want to contribute to the production of the report to be presented by the Rapporteur to the UN Human Rights Council next year as well as with the guide and leaflet which will be produced on the topic, join the debate: rigttohousing.org/debates

* Haiti
Between the 8th and 11th June, the Special Rapporteur visited Haiti, where she participated in a workshop on the reconstruction of the country, visited some camps and informal settlements and met with NGOs and international agencies. The visit was organized by UN-HABITAT and the Human Rights Section of MINUSTAH. Read more.

* Agenda
From 26th June to 1st July, Raquel Rolnik will participate in Geneva in the Annual Meeting of the Special Rapporteurs. Then she goes to her mission in Algeria, where she will be between 9th and 19th July. Click here to read more.
