When their shantytowns are threatened with mass eviction, three ‘young lions’ of South Africa’s new generation rise from the shacks and take their government to the highest court in the land, putting the promises of democracy to the test.

Dear Mandela (directed by Dara Kell & Christopher Nizza) was awarded ‘Best South African Documentary’ at the Durban International Film Festival. The film was nominated for ‘Best Documentary’ by the African Movie Academy Awards. It has also screened at the Camden International Film Festival, One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, and the Movies that Matter Film Festival where the film won the Golden Butterfly prize
