Migrants

In the report about migration and right to housing, from October 2010, the Special Rapporteur analyzes the laws, treaties and other international legal instruments that address the migrants’ right to housing. The report also analyzes the difficulties faced by migrants – legal and illegal ones – to access adequate housing and gives special attention to the situation of informal economy migrant workers e the ones that belong to vulnerable groups, such as women and children.

The report analyzes as well regulations and public policies in local and national levels, and presents examples of good practices related to this theme. Lastly, the report makes recommendations to governments about how to guarantee the right to adequate housing to migrants.
