Video: ‘Istanbul is Naked’

‘ Istanbul is Naked’ is a video about people expulsed from some sites in Istabul. The video focus on Sulukule (demolished&evacuated),Tarlabasi (recently evacuated,waiting to be demolished),Tozkoparan (under threat of forced evictions) and TOKI ( Mass Housing) Blocks at Tasoluk (relocation site, showing the ‘myth’ of relocation).

“More than a roof”: documentary shows impacts by the housing and economic crises in USA

More Than a Roof is a grassroots documentary following Raquel Rolnik, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, on her first official mission to the United States in 2009.  The film highlights the testimonies of individuals directly impacted by the severe housing and economic crises we are facing in cities and towns across the country.

Papering Over The Cracks – A documentary by the Seven Towers Residents Group

The documentary tells the stories of various residents’ campaigns to hold the housing executive and the department for social development to account on everyday issues like the right to a warm and comfortable home, the right to a safe environment for families, the right to security and dignity and the right to participate in the decisions that affect their lives.

Proposals of Non Governmental Organizations and innovator habitat politics in Argentina

There are 100.000 empty properties in the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires – it is to say that no inhabitants are living in there. Since 2005 different organizations – local and international ones – have been presenting this problem wherever it corresponds, it is to say not only to the “Senado de la Nación” (National Senate Parliament) but also to the local and national authorities as well.
